A fun and friendly family experience on two wheels

With our family mountain bike experience, we create a safe environment for you and your family to get out and try mountain biking. Our experienced guides are ready to take you exploring in Svinkløv Plantation and show you around Slettestrand’s fantastic, child-friendly MTB trails. We provide mountain bikes and helmets for all participants, plan a route so everyone is sure to have a great time, and pack a tasty snack to keep us going throughout the ride.

Our family mountain biking experience includes:

• 2 hour guided MTB tour with a certified guide (plus time for renting bikes)
• A little snack on the way
• Option to rent a moutain bike and helmet for the tour (extra)
• Max. 12 people per guide

Guided MTB tour and bike rental

We meet at Feriecenter Slettestrand, where you will be given all the necessary equipment for a fun and enjoyable MTB ride. A good mountain bike makes all the difference when you get out on the trails. We therefore offer special rates on mountain bike rental and free loan of a bike helmet when you book in connection with the tour. Your guide will, of course, help you find the right bike for you, so you can sit comfortably and enjoy the ride without discomfort.

When everyone is ready, we’ll set off for Svinkløv Plantation, which is just a short ride away. Here are some of Denmark’s best mountain bike trails with miles of challenges for all levels of mountain biker. Your guide knows the plantation like the back of his/her hand, and will plan a route that ensures everyone has a great time. We will ride on the forest roads and have a go at some of the marked MTB trails found in the forest. You can look forward to seeing plenty of beautiful scenery along the way, and your guide will tell you about the nature, the area, the trails and mountain biking in general. When it’s time for a break, your guide will be ready with a delicious snack, which we can enjoy in the forests beautiful surroundings.

A helping hand for the youngest

Our family mountain biking experience is suitable for children of all ages. We have rental bikes to fit children as young as 5 years old, and your guide will adapt the route according to your ability. Should the kids get tired along the way, your guide will have a “TowWhee” in the backpack to pull them along. For the very youngest children, it is possible to borrow a Feva Star Seat, where children aged 2-4 can ride on their parent’s bike.

Have a full day experience in Slettestrand

After a fun and pleasant trip in the forest, we will finish the tour at Feriecenter Slettestrand. From here, there are plenty of opportunities to extend your family experience and enjoy a full day together in Slettestrand. If you’re hungry after an active morning on the bikes, you can enjoy a delicious, family-friendly lunch at Restaurant Slettestrand – or perhaps a well-deserved cup of coffee and a slice of homemade cake while the children explore the large outdoor playground. You can also take a dip in our lovely warm-water pool or go for a walk on the beach, which is just 450m from Feriecenter Slettestrand.

Dates

Open tours will primarily be planned for the school holidays and selected weekends during the summer months. Keep an eye on our activity programme for up-comming dates and booking.

Private events

It is also possible to book the experience as a private tour for groups of at least 6 people – prices for private groups can vary depending on the number of participants, please contact us for an offer.
NB! At weekends and in the school holidays, private tours are for resident guests only.
